BERTON M. SLINDE, JR.
Bert Slinde started his career as an apprentice real estate salesman in 1973. He was one of the youngest licensee’s in the state of Wisconsin, where he established himself as one of Dane County’s top producing real estate agents. His career expanded into sales management for the Stark Company Realtors, one of Madison’s top real estate brokerage firms. This included opening a branch office, staffing, and managing over 25 sales agents.
In the mid 80s, Bert expanded into commercial and investment real estate, ultimately establishing a real estate securities firm, known as Gorman & Slinde Real Estate Securities. Bert served as a principal, developer, and general partner in various real estate transactions.
Throughout a career spanning more than 50 years, Bert has consulted and acted on behalf of various real estate entrepreneurs in developing, constructing, and managing numerous commercial and multifamily real estate projects and developments.
More recently over the past 10 years, Bert has acted as a principal in developing, constructing, and managing nearly 200 multifamily condominium and apartment units in the Madison area with a combined value of nearly $80 million, and he was awarded the REALTOR Emeritus distinction.
JEFFREY J. SLINDE
Jeff Slinde began his real estate career in 2003 after receiving his Wisconsin Real Estate Salesperson License at the age of 18 and has been actively engaged in all facets of the real estate business.
After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Personal Finance, Jeff was employed by CoreLogic REO Servicing (Denver, CO) and was actively engaged in the disposition of 12,500 REO assets valued at $165,000,000 over the course of 18 months. While at CoreLogic, Jeff was designated as the onsite manager for Aurora Bank, fsb (formerly Lehman Brothers Bank) and assisted in disposition services on behalf of Aurora and CoreLogic.
Jeff returned to Slinde Realty in 2011 and is responsible for the day to day management of existing properties and for the sourcing & underwriting of investment opportunities, asset management, and budgeting activities within Slinde Realty. Jeff is currently pursuing the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation; CCIM designees are recognized as leading experts in commercial investment real estate.
Outside of real estate activities, Jeff actively supports the Culver Education Foundation (Culver, IN) and the Madison Capitols hockey organization.
MICHAEL B. SLINDE
Mike joined Slinde Realty as a Partner in 2023, focusing on Acquisition & Development opportunities, as well as Asset Management.
Prior to Slinde Realty, Mike was AVP at MLG Capital, a Milwaukee-based Private Equity Real Estate firm, overseeing Acquisitions & Fundraising in the Southeast. Before MLG, Mike was a Senior Investment Product Analyst, and Acquisitions Analyst at Inland Private Capital, the Nation’s largest 1031 Exchange Sponsor, and at Colliers/Welch Companies in Minneapolis as an Asset Manager. In his career, Mike has acquired over $800M of assets, and raised $1.5B of equity.
Mike earned a Masters Degree in Real Estate from DePaul University, and an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
He lives in Wisconsin with his wife Haley & their two Boykin Spaniels.
